Erin Rose is a board certified and licensed occupational therapy practitioner. She earned a Bachelor of Science in occupational therapy from Florida A&M University, and upon graduation, Erin immediately went to work in the heart of the birthplace of Sensory Integration—Southern California.  There she worked alongside and trained with some of the most talented pediatric occupational therapists in the country.

Erin worked in both the local schools and a clinic setting, developing programs and running groups while supervising a team of therapists, ultimately becoming the lead clinical supervisor.  After her time in California, Erin returned home to Atlanta, Georgia and continued to work in local schools, develop programs and run groups through the Fulton County School District.  Upon getting married, Erin later settled in southeastern Connecticut, briefly worked in the local school districts, and realized that she wanted to bring the same quality and style of occupational therapy to southeastern Connecticut by starting a private practice, Thriving Kids Therapy, LLC which was established in 2012.

Many who have worked with Erin say that she demonstrates a deep passion for what she does.  She is caring and compassionate towards everyone she works with and treats. She is also a strong advocate for her clients and their families.  Since first becoming an Occupational Therapist, Erin has worked with and treated over 700 clients and families.  She has extensive experience in a wide variety of diagnoses and treatment approaches including Sensory Integration, Hippotherapy, Sound Therapy, and Aquatic Therapy.  Erin is a certified handwriting specialist through Handwriting Without Tears® and is trained in IEP Direct/Frontline Education software.  She recently wrote an article for Exceptional Parent Magazine on best practice and addressing mental health needs in our children. Erin now resides in Mystic, Connecticut with her husband and three children.
